Are you by yourself and feeling isolated?
Some have to stay away from others due to regional or national lockdown.
Some have to because of some condition that makes them vulnerable.
Whatever the case, there are a few things that you can do that will help you NOT to feel isolated while you stay away from others.
Take a few mins several times a day to take deep breaths. While sitting or standing upright, take a deep breath for a count of 4, hold for a count of 4 and breathe out for the count of 4.
Take a few moments to say thank you for yourself, your friends and family, things that you experience daily, and anything else you would like to express thanks for.
Remember that when you move your body, your mind gets to work, the blood would more efficiently take oxygen and nourishment to your vital organs.
This can be done by going for a walk, going into your garden for a few moments to have a meal, read a book or just relax and if you cannot go out at all, open your windows and let the fresh air into your home.
We are quite fortunate that we have various devices such as phones, tablets or PCs, and the internet to communicate with each other. Even though we may not be able to, for any reason get in close proximity with others, we can be connected via these devices. Ensure that you reach out to family and friends even at this time.
The role of good nutrition and adequate hydration cannot be overemphasized. Even though you don't feel that you have the level of activity that should wear you down because you are at home, you still need to ensure that you have good nourishment.
Remember that when you are at home, there is a risk of you having racing thoughts that can be negative. To guide yourself away from this, mindfulness practice is very useful.
You may be away from your usual place of work, worship, or social interaction but you do not have to feel isolated because this can be an opportunity for greater care and connection. I hope you find this useful.
Be you! Stay connected!! Grow into abundance!!!
