holidays selfcare wellbeing Oct 04, 2020

There are times when we feel time is racing and this year has not been an exception.

2020 has been a year of intrigue, novelty, uncertainty and for some loss.

However, the fact that you are reading this, is proof that you made it to the last quarter. Yipppeee!!

The last quarter of any year is usually filled with festivities and times when families come together. However, with social distancing and other measures put in place because of the pandemic, there is a risk that we might lose out on many traditions. It is also a time when the cold weather in most countries occur.

Here are a few things that we can do to take control of the last quarter.

1. Keep active

It is cold and you really don't want to go outside. Why no do a mini dance-off with family indoors. It will be fun and you will keep active.

2. Stay warm and hydrated

Taking warm drinks is particularly useful at this time. And if you absolutely love caffeinated drinks, don't forget to have your last caffeinated drink at least 6 hours before bed time.

3. Take deep breaths through your nose

Deep breaths are useful in making oxygen available to our body cells. When it is taken through the nose, the bodies normal defense system for respiratory illnesses including viruses are fully engaged.

4, Connect with friends and family

Plan a remote video call with family and friends on your memorable days. Practise being present with them and enjoy the moment.

5. Show gratitude

Be thankful for your life and that of the people around you. For the change in the seasons and the year 2020.

This year has been a rollercoaster but we made it.

Wishing you all a lovely new quarter and good health of mind and body.

Make an intention to take charge of this last quarter of 2020.

Stay happy! Be connected !! Grow into abundance!!!
